Logan Ko

Keynote Speaker

My name is Logan, and I am from North Korea.

I joined Freedom Speakers International (FSI) in 2020 as a tutoring student, and in 2025, I became a member of FSI’s North Korean Refugee Keynote Speakers Network.

I escaped North Korea in 2019 to find my sister and to seek freedom.

When I lived in North Korea, I never truly understood what freedom or human rights meant. But one phone call with my sister nearly destroyed my life because of the North Korean government.

After a long journey, I finally arrived in South Korea.
Here, I found freedom and discovered my dreams.

I am now studying law at Dongguk University.
In the future, I hope to use the law to help North Korean people and protect their human rights.
