Sanghyuck Hwang joined Freedom Speakers International in 2024

He was born in Pyongyang. He graduated with a degree in piano from Pyongyang University of Music and Dance, the only music university in North Korea, and immediately started working as a professor there. Later, he enrolled in the university’s doctoral program and obtained a conductor’s license.

He came to South Korea in 2014. In South Korea, he obtained Music master degree at Seoul National University. He performed various music concerts such as Fifteenth Asia Society Korea Celebration in February 2023, and collaborations with the Harvard Alumni Association and Radcliffe Orchestra.
