Yusung Pak

Keynote Speaker

Yusung Pak joined the Freedom Speakers International (FSI) North Korean Refugee Keynote Speakers Network when it was formed in late 2020. He was the winner of FSI’s 13th English Speech Contest in February 2021.

In North Korea, he dropped out of Gangan High school in 2007 and came to South Korea in 2009. He graduated from Dongguk University in 2018, majoring in film making. In 2016, he attended the Texas YWAM school.

He was a college reporter in the Ministry of Unification from 2013 to 2014 and went to Israel as a Youth Civilian diplomat in 2014. He also lectured at the Ministry of Defense from 2017 to 2018. He received the Bronze Award of the 52nd Houston International film festival in 2019, and the movie that he directed was the opening movie at the North Korean Human Rights Festival in 2018.
